There are many people in the world who sleep at night but are unable to wake up. Their life ends during their sleep. Whenever your eyes open automatically, thank your God for giving you another opportunity to see a wonderful morning. In this way, Osho is not strict about discipline. He is the inventor of self-discipline. Such discipline, which is born from the soul. A discipline that is natural and spontaneous. Effortless. Without fear and fear of sin.

Some people do not cross the red light for fear of fine. If there is no policeman at the intersection, they cross the red light fearlessly. Osho's lifelong effort was to develop the consciousness of people through meditation so that whether a policeman is posted at the intersection or not, it should automatically remain in their mind that whether someone is watching or not, they should not cross the red light. Many people do not steal for fear of punishment if they are caught stealing. If there is no fear of getting caught, they can steal. There is another situation also when the thought of stealing does not even come to mind. There is no fear of getting caught. One can easily steal someone else's property. Still, the thought of stealing does not even arise in the mind. Osho calls this ideology as non-theft. This feeling of non-theft comes from within. It comes from the inner mind. For the origin of this feeling, it is important to understand that the consequences of wrong and illegal actions can also occur indirectly. If you put your hand in the fire right now, your hand will burn right away. The burning of the hand starts immediately. This is the direct result. Osho believed that the result of work comes immediately. Restlessness starts immediately due to the hostility in the mind. A storm of thoughts starts stirring in the mind. Nothing has been done yet. Only a thought has come to mind. This thought itself gives rise to trouble. This thought itself is enough to give birth to unrest. Trying to stop such thoughts by force is not successful. Even if it is stopped by force, it will get fed into the subconscious. Its roots will not be destroyed. A little fertilizer and water were added and the seeds sprouted. The roots of such thoughts can be destroyed only by the development of consciousness. Awakening of consciousness is not possible without meditation. In the proportion in which consciousness starts awakening, in the same proportion the sense of meaning of life will keep on increasing.
