Osho wants to give the message through this story that there have been such personalities in the world who spread joy among people. They inspire us with their humour that we too can live life like this. When that saint can make people laugh throughout his life and then we can also do this too. It is just a matter of understanding and realization. It is not impossible to do this. In this age of mobile revolution, this revolution is being used both for good and misuse. I came to know from newspapers and doctor friends that laughing loudly for half an hour every day can keep blood pressure stable.
My mother lives in the village. I live in Jaipur. I and my mother were suffering from high blood pressure. We were taking medicines also but sometimes blood pressure used to increase due to stress or fatigue. I watched laughter shows on YouTube. I watched interviews of people who had taken membership of the laughter club. I met the club members living in the colony and got to know their experiences. They also had the same experience that ever since they have taken membership of the comedy club, they have been feeling happy. They also felt that it is not possible to laugh with full force at home. Due to the loud sound, family members and neighbours have to face difficulty. Therefore, they started going to comedy clubs established by comedy experts in public parks. There, no one has any problem in laughing in a group. The comedy experts try to make people laugh through various activities in their one-hour program. Everyone in the group follows them. In this way, after one hour of joyous celebration in the lap of nature in the morning, blood pressure and mental condition become stable.
Both my mother and I had high blood pressure. Now I understood the tips of comedy experts. I showed my mother videos of comedy clubs and assured her that sitting near a plant and laughing in the morning can bring high blood pressure to normal levels. This was the first experience in her life. The mobile's charge was fixed not on talking but on time. That is, whether you talk or not, you will have to recharge it in a month. Even if you talk for an hour every day, you have to recharge it only after a month.
We took advantage of this scheme of mobile companies. I bought two one feet high stands to put mobiles on. I gave one to mother and kept the other with me. I fitted my phone in the stand and mother also fitted her mobile on her stand. We both turned on the speakers of our respective mobiles. Now while making shave in the morning, I started narrating different types of humorous stories on the mobile and mother started laughing. She would laugh softly then I would tell her that this is the laughter of a sick person. Laugh openly like young people. Then I would tell her to laugh openly and she too started trying to laugh with full force. The advantage of the comedy on the speaker was that during this time I could easily do the usual tasks of making shave and daily chores. What I mean to say is that there was no need to take out separate time for this one hour program. For the last four years, this program of ours has been going on continuously on mobile without any break. My and mother's blood pressure is normal now. The mind remains calm. Mother is also slowly getting relief from depression of old age.
