Even after four decades, I still remember when we heard Osho's discourse titled "Anahad Mein Bisram" for the first time. In that discourse, Osho was saying-

"And he who has found that void has found rest."

This rest is such that it has no limits, no boundaries. It came to my mind that a discourse of only ninety minutes is published in a cassette. If I get the book, I can understand the whole theory of relaxation. After listening to that one discourse, many questions arose in my mind. Answers to these questions could be found only in the book. I found this book in the public library of my village. Sant Kabir rightly says that "Jin Khoja Tin Paya, Gahere Pani Baith." In this lovely book, Osho says-

"I do not consider my sannyasis to be Hindu, Muslim, Jain or Buddhist. My sannyasi is searching for the void. He is breaking down all the walls. My sannyasi is searching for the limitless. He is transgressing the boundaries. He should not leave the house. While living in the house, he should know that the house is not his limit. He should not leave the family either. While living in the family, he should know that the family is not his limit. Call this realization meditation. Call it wisdom. Call it whatever word you like. You will find rest only after reaching the void. Otherwise, life is anguish. There is pain. There is sorrow. Without entering the void, our roots are drying up. Plants are withering. As soon as someone plants his roots in the void, greenery spreads. Flowers grow. Spring arrives. Spring comes into life. Bumblebees start singing songs. Honeybees start buzzing. Then know that life is now complete."

After reading the above excerpt from Osho's discourse, I felt as if I have found answers to many questions. I understood why our lives are afflicted with diseases like dullness and boredom? Why does the mind remain entangled in a storm of thoughts twenty-four hours a day? No sooner does one thought leave the mind than ten new thoughts come from nowhere and attack. I used to meet people who had a position, prestige, fame in the society. Despite this, as soon as I talked to them, I would realize that they were restless, disturbed. Seeing their restlessness, I would feel compassion for them that why are these people not starting to listen to Osho. After reading Osho's book "Anhad Mein Bisram", I came to the conclusion that these people are not able to adjust themselves with this beautiful and blissful world of God.

To be continued..............
