I was neither giving any explanation to anyone nor was I asking any counter-question from them. Yes, it was definitely true that whoever was eager for peace of mind and desired to taste silence, I would definitely explain the formula of being friendly to him. Many times, well-wishers even said that I was talking to them imaginary things about supernatural formulas. The families of those youngsters who got a glimpse of peace would definitely try to know how this change happened in their son. They would also ask many types of questions to their children but the youngsters were not in a position to give satisfactory answers.

It was probably the year 1984. I was turning 20. Many friends asked me that you talk about doing every task with full dedication and pleasure. We do that too. Now we have started feeling a little better but our family members are upset. They say that we are becoming sad and inactive. What should we answer? They ask  that someone is trapping them in a web of conspiracy.

“What did you reply?” I asked my friend.

"We have told your name. We said that you are teaching us the lesson of peace of mind. You are teaching us a new way of looking at things. We are trying to explain to the family that when we look at every object, person,    plants, animals and birds with a friendly eye and feel in our mind that we have no enmity with anyone. We have friendliness with everyone. Many doubts are arising in the mind of my uncle. He asks us many questions on   friendliness, but we are not able to answer his questions.  My father and uncle want to meet you. They want to  discuss friendliness and peace of mind.

"Okay. Tomorrow is Sunday. There is a college holiday. I will come to your house."

"Come at five in the evening." The friend fixed the time.

I heard a discourse of Osho that night. In the discourse, Osho was trying to explain a topic through a parable. Osho was saying in his Amrit Vaani that a passerby went to see a small hill. The passerby was a curious person. He saw that the construction of a temple was going on near that small hill. Many laborers were breaking stones on the hill. That passerby asked a person breaking stones-

"What are you doing, my friend?"

"Can't you see, I am breaking a stone. First the stone is hard and on top of that this sun is making the wound worse. We are suffering the consequences of our deeds of our past lives."

"Why are you getting angry, friend? I just asked like that."

"It is clearly visible that I am breaking stones in the scorching sun. Still you are asking. It seems your eyesight has become weak."

The traveler heard his pain and moved ahead. When he climbed the hill, he saw another person breaking stones. He stopped and asked him in polite words-

“What are you doing friend,"

"Construction work of a temple is going on nearby. I am  breaking the stones for it."

He replied in a disappointing tone.

To be continued.......
